Christmas Whirl Wind

How did my to do list go?

Friday-made some more key chains, didn't go to the bar.

Saturday-Nephew's birthday party, hung out then went home and did a tiny bit more sewing on key chains for my booth on Sunday.

Sunday-I got to the mall at 6:30 am and left at 10:30 pm. Talk about a long day! I wish I would have remembered to pack something to do. I spent my dad watching people take strollers up the escalator (in between sales that is haha). I had my best profit day for my booth so far!

Monday-Melissa came over to make cookies. I had to go grocery shopping in the morning to buy cookie ingredients. When I got back she was sleeping in the recliner with a painful ear. She had a Dr's appointment at 3:30 so we got a little bit done before she left. I finished up making all the rest of the them except the roll out cookies (batter was made just needed to finish them up).

Tuesday Christmas Eve-I was laying in bed wide awake at 2 am thinking of everything I still had to do. Finally I just got up and did it. Scott came wandering out about an hour later and asked if I ever went to bed. Why yes, yes I did. I made 2 lasagnas, 3 loaves of banana bread and peanut butter pie. Then I went back to bed at 5:30 and slept 3 more hours.

We went to the movies to see  Ford vs Ferrari at 10. It was the first time I went to our Tracy movie theater in forever (we usually go to Manteca since it's actually closer). They have huge recliners. I didn't dare put mine back, I'd fall asleep for sure. The movie was really good and I'm glad we got to see it on the big screen.

After the movie we wandered around the mall looking for the few presents I had left to get (why are some people so hard to buy for..) We went into Sears and just bought ourselves some new towels and a shower curtain rod. They are going out of business so everything was marked down. We tried a few other places for presents but eventually ended up at Wal Mart. I hate Wal Mart but we should have went there first. We found everything we needed there and the line wasn't too bad. The only bad part was the people working there getting in the way of the aisles.

We picked up some Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner for all the kids. Melissa then said she wasn't coming over since she finally got some medicine and just wanted to sleep :( Jess finished up the last batch of cookies I had saved for them to roll out and decorate. I wrapped all the presents (loved reusing some gift bags for the presents going to my mom's so much faster) and then had pizza and hung out. Jess was going through the old movies and wanted to take them back to my mom's cabin to watch (they were staying there since I turned her room into a CRAFT ROOM when she moved out), so I went with them to watch. Funny seeing the kids when they were little and God we looked so much younger haha. My house was really clean before we had the internet ;) That right there makes me like dinosaur old to "kids these days!"

Christmas morning we got up and cleaned the living room up. The kids finally all got there around 9 or so. It was so weird. I was actually dressed and had make up on and just waiting around for them. We opened presents and then after that it was off to my mom's! I'll share pictures of Christmas in another post.

Holy busy! But it sounded like a very nice week/holiday. I love that you made Jess's room a craft room. Nothing tells your kids you're not coming back like turning their room into something. My parents did the same thing!

Wow, I'm exhausted just reading your post. lol. I love that you got up and cooked at 2am. I would do that if I knew for sure all the noise wouldn't wake my hubby. I have more energy to do things in those wee small hours. We saw Ford vs Ferrari and enjoyed it. It sounds like you had a great Christmas. Now on to the new year!
