Domestic Like

I feel so accomplished today. I totally cleaned like 12 feet of my house today. Of course I could have mopped too but at least it's a bit less cluttered.

When I got home from work I realized that we were out of cat AND dog food so I just ended up leaving again and going to town to get some.

Now all the animals are happy.

I actually cooked dinner and washed dishes, did a couple loads of laundry and then I worked on cutting some of these random flannel pieces into squares. It's funny how relaxing that is. I used to cut my paper scraps into squares a lot and it's about the same. Nice to take weird shape pieces and stack them up in neat little piles. Who needs therapy when you have a rotary blade?

I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday and we have a long weekend. I took Tuesday off too because I *think* I made Trevor's permit test appointment for that day. Although it may be for Wednesday. I'm hoping I get a reminder call like we have in the past since I'm stupid and didn't write it down. I don't know why I thought I'd get an email or a text like I did before..

Baby Joey is doing good and making his mom tired by nursing all the time. I'm still waiting for them to post their pictures so I can share lol. Don't want to get in trouble for posting their baby pictures before they do.

Ok time for another dose of Pepto (I've had a little bit of stomach ache all day, boo) and crawling into bed.

Happy Friday!Pin It

Baby Joey

Quick post since I'm sleepy and need to go to bed.

My newest nephew was born today! Baby Joey was born this morning. I'm not allowed to post any pics yet but I finally got some this evening and he's the cutest squishy baby. I can't wait to hold him :)

I was pretty busy most of the day at work today. FINALLY. So nice since it makes the day go by so much faster.

After work I went to pick up Trevor from town since he had stayed late for some kind of Drama something or other. I picked him up and he was so sad since him and his girlfriend had just broke up :( I swear our kids heart breaks are just so sad.   They have been going out for a long time so we'll see what happens. Poor kid.

We came home for about 20 minutes then it was time to go to Bingo. If Melissa wasn't going I would have just skipped it but I kind of get a kick out of the girls liking to go so much. Jessica was at work so she didn't get to come. The only thing I won was table bingo which was like $1.25 lol.

Time for bed, I'm so tired! See you manana!

Time Alone..

It's pretty amazing how I can be so tired when I've done almost nothing all day. I'm sure that has something to do with waking up all night long and eating too much unhealthy food. One of these days I'll get back on track.

This morning started with me getting up before my alarm to go to the bathroom, but I still had an hour so I went back to bed. Scott got up and got ready for work and I was waiting for him to leave so I could get in the shower. He leaves and then someone is in the bathroom. Someone finally gets out of the bathroom but then Trevor now has to take a shower. Trevor gets out of the shower and I've got like 20 minutes to get ready so I may have put my make up on in the car at work.

He's decided to drop his 0 period class (Thank you!) since he's not actually playing an instrument in "Jazz Band", not quite sure how they worked that out. Apparently half the class is now music appreciation or something. He can appreciate some music at home and save me an extra 26 miles of driving in the morning. Now hopefully the class gets dropped correctly. He's been to see the counselor and emailed the teacher so I'd say it's in their court. Hopefully I won't have to do anything. Trying to get these kids to be self sufficient at some point.

It's interesting listening to the girl at work talk about her daughter who is in her 2nd year of college calling her and freaking out because her zit on her face won't stop bleeding. Really? So you're like almost 20 and can't figure out how to apply pressure? Sheesh.

We are getting closer to the deadline at work but I'm still only having about a few hours worth of work. We are down a couple employees for the "planners" and so there is like 3 people doing all the work on the "other side".  Personally I think the one girl should be fired since she hardly ever comes to work anymore. Not sure how she is getting away with that. Hopefully she finds a new job soon and quits so they can hire someone to replace her.  How many weeks in a row can you do one day of sick leave, a vacation day and "teleworking". I'd take a 2 day work week too!

When I got home from work there was no extra cars so I was thinking just Trevor was home. He was actually still at school and getting picked up by Jessica. Jessica's guy friend was still here though so I still wasn't alone even though he didn't come out of the bedroom. I have only been home alone for like 2 hours in months. I could really use a good 6 hours with everyone gone so I can clean without anyone being here.

I washed a ton of dishes and made dinner, cooking up all the fresh veggies that were in the fridge so they don't go bad. Funny how all the junk food is gone but we've got broccoli! Now to wash the remaining dishes to have a clean counter and sink for about 5 minutes.

I'm about ready to move out and leave everyone behind...

Oh and just remembered one other thing from Bunco yesterday (didn't win anything but had fun). One gal who's husband has been having a bunch of strokes that they apparently can't figure out. This guy is quite the piece of work. One of those that only works long enough to get unemployment and then has an affair with the neighbor girl on the other side of the fence. She was talking about being at the hospital with him and all I could think is now you're going to get stuck taking care of this man who didn't even have any respect for you. Sucks.

Bunco Monday

It's Bunco night! So much fun. Just chilling for a little bit before it's time to go.  They needed a sub so my friend Cassie is going to come too. Bunco is almost all really fun people now that we've got rid of the one girl who was always either super drunk or on drugs (or both).

I thought Jessica was working tonight but I had her old schedule. I got home and all my kids are here, that hasn't happened in awhile. Too bad I didn't plan to cook anything for them for dinner.

My mom got a call from the school this morning that Robert wasn't there. I called that one, someone owes me $5. Wonder if he'll make it tomorrow. My mom told them to call his mother.

Sunday I spent all day working on those bags of scraps that I bought at the thrift store. I had paid $11.25 for them. So far my profit is $89 so not too shabby! I still have a pile of stuff that wasn't cut into squares left. Sadly most of it is flannel so nothing I really use. I was thinking they'd make some really cute rag quilts though. Look how pretty this one is, I don't think it would be very hard either!  Could be cute for Christmas presents for the kids.

I watched a lot of Netflix this weekend. Finally made it through all of Heartland. I'm glad she had the baby at the end because that was all that was keeping me watching haha.

Then I watched To All The Boys I Loved Before, which is a movie and I thought it was cute. I like the main boy character, he was on The Fosters in the beginning.

After that I watched Like Father which has Kelsey Grammer.  Also a movie which nice to watch instead of a series. It kind of made me want to go on a cruise. Scott would probably hate it since he'd be forced to be social.

Then after that I went back to watching Life Sentence which I had forgot I was even watching. It's a good background noise show but nothing to carry your laptop around with you for.

Today in the car I was listening to Casefile True Crime episode about Susan Snow and Bruce Nickell. OMG people are so crazy. I was going to say what happened but I think I won't so I don't ruin it in case you want to listen to it.

Oh and here is my favorite purchase from Saturday.

I put them next to the succulents on my desk at work, they make me laugh!

Ok off to Bunco, everyone cross their fingers that I win :)

TreasureFest

Saturday my mom and I went to Treasurefest! We left around 8:30 since when I looked on Friday it said about 2 hours to get there. When we left it said a bit over an hour! What a difference without traffic. So we got there a little bit before they opened, which meant a good parking spot, clean portapotty to start the day and we walked around without too much foot traffic. By the time we left people were searching for parking space and tons of people were walking around. I'm so glad we went early so we had an easier time with everything.

I mostly wanted to go to scope it out, since a few people have mentioned that I should have a booth there. It's a 2 day event so I'd have to either drive back and forth of sleep in the car OR get a cheap hotel somewhere but that's hard to do in SF.

Mom debated on this white thing. I guess she has 2 so she was thinking one more would be good for her windows at her cabin. She didn't end up getting it though.

These are dog collars but I was taking a picture of his pvc pipe display lol. Very cool and I don't think they'd fall over since they have a wide base.

This is a cool display idea too

Food truck lunch! I got a burrito bowl but I was kind of wishing I would have got the messy burger my mom got lol. (Made up for any healthy-ness by eating a giant cinnamon roll on the way home)

The view was really nice

Looking towards the bay bridge not long before we left

Another cool display idea

I only bought a couple things and forgot to bring them in the house so I'll show you later since I'm too lazy to go outside right now.

I had my mom bring her little cart on wheels and it as perfect since she likes to have something to hold on to when she walks and we could put all our stuff in there.

I'll definitely go back again but I will make sure to get there early too!

Double Blogging

Well since I did last night's post this morning you get another one today. I was just rereading my title and it made me think of the Double Mint Gum Twins. (link for anyone who is a baby and doesn't know what I'm talking about)

Is it too early to go to bed? It's almost 8:00. I think I might go lay down for a bit. I'll probably fall asleep then be up at 2 am wide awake.

After work today I went and got a car wash and vacuumed out my car (don't want my mom sitting in my filth). Everything but the very back part since I had to put all the crap that was in there somewhere. I didn't even know I was driving around with Trevor's skateboard in there.  I will have to clean all that out for our trip tomorrow. I'll probably do it in the morning unless I get a second wind tonight!

Oh also have to stay up long enough to change the laundry over. Out of undies lol. (just kidding, now Trevor has changed the laundry over since he's pissed off he has ants on his bed)

Tonight's excitement in our house is Trevor being pissed off about everything but especially ants and Scott watching the baseball game on the TV and his phone.

Hopefully they don't send Jessica home from work early again for it being slow since she about popped a gasket yesterday. Another day and she's really going to blow.

I put the first round of my flannel fabric squares on the FB group and sold 5 out of 11 lots I made so already made my money back plus some whooho

Poor Rusty pup has the runs :( I haven't had to take him out again since I got home but he sure was straining a lot when I took him out. I hope he's ok.

Anyone want to volunteer to take Trevor to get a new phone? God I hate getting new phones it takes so long. Kind of glad I'm busy tomorrow maybe someone else can take him haha.

I Don't

Isn't this sign perfect? I so need one. Stole the picture off someone on FB lol. I've been getting pretty crabby about washing dishes lately. Especially if I haven't cooked anything. I've told Scott several times that my vagina wasn't washing dishes. I do wonder why he's still married to me sometimes ;)

This is what I did after work yesterday. Sorted through one bag of the scraps I bought at the thrift store the other day. Sadly most of these are flannel which I never use. I just listed a bunch of them on the FB sale group that I sell things on. Hopefully someone will want to buy them otherwise I see some little flannel quilts for Christmas presents haha. Hoping the next bag has more cotton!

So glad it's FriYEAH. Tomorrow my mom and I are going to go to TreasureFest! I'm pretty excited about that. I've never been before.

Yesterday my mom went to court and they gave Robert back to his mother. His mother still lives in a homeless shelter although she is supposed to be getting free housing. It amazes me that they don't wait until she is settled before giving him back. That's the foster care system for you I guess! So now mom will be free but worry about the little guy. Let's hope is him can get her shit together and be a good mom now.

BYOB Night

Ok quick blog post before I go to bed. I went to bingo and had to bring my own "beverage" because the bar is closed. Club drama 101! Something about the bar tender getting in a fight with someone in the bar (verbally) so she got told no work for 2 days without pay. Which I think is really freaking stupid since she could totally sue the club for not getting coverage for lunch breaks (the last bar tender did that and won and they didn't fix the problem).

So anyways, had to cook dinner and bring my own beverage to bingo haha. Saved me money in the long run!

I thought bout skipping bingo tonight but Melissa and Eric were coming so I went to see them. I haven't seen Melissa since last week. I hinted again today about maybe just moving in with him since we need a room. She says there is not enough room for her stuff :(

Saw this today, thought it was funny but I'd totally eat a bunch of shit after I finished that bottle of wine. I always want snacks after I've been drinking lol.

I was a bad girl today and went to the thrift store. I KNOW! I keep talking about clearing things out but I couldn't resist these bags of fabrics! $5 for that whole bag (x3) and then they were on sale for 25% off. Practically free lol. I can totally use the character prints for key fobs and make my money back with one little key chain. They are currently still sitting out in the car since I didn't have time to sort through them yet. I also got 2 cross stitch pictures. I'll have to take pics of them tomorrow.

Another funny I saw today. The post said it's was in the SF Bay.

What do you think about his lawyer taking the plea bargain? Think he'll eventually be charged with something? Just amazes me what Clinton went through but this guy is like eh, happened years ago lol. So disgusting. His wife must be so embarrassed.

Work was super boring again today. The other department has a new girl who is not really getting trained very well. The gal I call "Berkeley Mom" is training her (rudely most of the time). I feel bad for the girl but OMG. Every time this pops up I want to just run away. Today I was like no, you're wrong you don't need anything else and "that's your department's stuff, ask someone on your side". I know, so grouchy but ugh. I can't fix anything for her.

Ok time for some kitty snuggles. Here is Buster last night. I've been watching Netflix on my laptop instead of my Kindle and I keep having to try and keep him off of it. He just gave up and laid on my arm last night lol. He's currently yelling at me that it's time for bed.

What's for Dinner

I have had such a brain block about looking for new recipes to make for dinner. That means we are having tacos tonight. One of the basic 5 meals I make haha. Just taking a five and then I'll get it started.

Work was so boring today (like most days lately). I cleaned out this big filing cabinet in my desk, mostly because I was looking to see if I had some labels in there, which I didn't. Threw all the catalogs that people keep giving me to order supplies in the recycle bin. Who needs a catalog. So much easier to just type what you want to buy in Google.  Companies should just stop making those and spend their money on online advertisements instead.

I finished another little project I had made myself, and then what. I swear I feel guilty that the government is paying for me to sit there and do nothing. But mostly I feel angry that they have the other two contract employee girls sharing my job. Such bullshit.  Meanwhile the other departments are drowning in work because of the hiring freeze (we can't really cross over).

On the way home today I stopped and picked up some fabric (I know, I know I keep complaining I have too much stuff) from Marketplace. $3 for a bundle of Christmas fabric. The gal left it on the porch so I put $5 under the mat. I felt guilty taking it for $3 lol. I was looking at her FB profile and she has 5 little kids. I don't know people do it with that many kids. I'd be a crazy person.

Speaking of kids Jessica and her guy friend Daniel went camping today. So now both of my girls will have went up to our camping spot without us. I need to plan vacation time better next year so we can actually take off during the week and go. Although after last year I wasn't really wanting to go anyways. The cows and the drama were all too much. And after re-reading that link there I totally am glad I didn't plan a camping trip haha.

I was looking at Marketplace and saw that there is a thrift shop/antique shop for sale. Like the whole store is for sale. I sent the link to my mom and was like if I only didn't need health insurance I'd say we should do it! She'd love that. I'm hoping once Robert is gone she can get back to crafting and having fun. He should be going back to live with his mother soon. My mom is counting down the days lol. They have court on Thursday. Yesterday she got a call from the school that he had punched a kid. They didn't even send him home. My kid pushed a kid and got suspended (the kid was choking him) when he was that age. I guess all schools don't do "ZERO BULLYING" policy eh? I'm sure my mom was glad she had a couple more hours of silence ;)

I started watching the latest episode of Heartland on Netflix. Kind of just half-assed watched it last night while I worked on my sale stuff. A couple more people bought stuff so I have almost sold all the misc notions stuff I put out for sale (all stuff I got in boxes of bought/gifted items). If I could just do a box a week I'd be down to not much crap soon. Well if I don't keep picking stuff up on Marketplace ;)

Trevor is napping and it's so quiet I hate to make noise starting dinner! It's almost like I'm home alone! But not..

Is it Bedtime Yet?

Man I'm so tired! Probably because yesterday I was mostly a lazy bum and watched Netflix all day. I did also go through 2 boxes of fabric and put some stuff up for sale but I didn't sell a whole lot of the stuff I decided I could part with. Darn.  I even took a two hour nap, which is probably why I stayed up until midnight watching more Netflix.  That hurts when you set your alarm for 5am.

So what was I watching? I finished watching Insatiable. I have to say I did look up twice how many more episodes there were in the season because I was getting tired of it. Like a lot of shows lately it seems like they try to cover all the hot topics. Bullying, LGBT, Religion, & they say this show is all about fat shaming but I'm like eh I've seen WAY worse in regular every day life. By the end of the season I was just like REALLY?  Probably won't watch the next season if they make one. Although I did enjoy Alyssa Milano's southern accent and I think she looks fabulous for being a couple years old than me haha.

After I finished watching that I pushed play on The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society even though it was like 9pm. Mostly because I still had to go out and change the laundry over so I'd have clean underwear to wear to work. Also, good thing I washed more than one because I took a drink of my water, choked and peed my pants while I was coughing.  I swear. Getting old is not for the weak (bladder).

Back to the movie, I thought I had read this book for book club but turns out I listened to the audio book back in 2010. The book was much more in dept about the Nazi's in the communities life if I remember correctly. The movie seemed to be more on the main character, who I had to look up because I knew she was familiar. She was the blonde sister on Downton Abbey. There were quite a few of the British actors I recognized thanks to my binge watching all the BBC shows lol. I did enjoy the movie though. I would some day like to go over seas and see some of these fantastic places. Bucket List right after being able to afford a new septic system.

I did get a few checks of free money in the mail today! This insurance I used to have years ago was always sending me these weird small amount checks. I'm not even sure why, some kind of over payment or something. A lot of them were really small like .12 and this is before I had mobile banking on my phone. I'd stick them up in my little cubby hole and forget about them and then they'd expire after 90 days. I figured at some point they'd probably end up in that California unclaimed property website but I didn't really think much about it. A few weeks ago I got a few letters in the mail about them and all I had to do was put in my info (that they already had) and sign and send it back and shazam, free money! Lucky for me they put a ton of little checks together to make some bigger ones.

Now if I could just get a few more of those with a couple zeros on the right that'd be great.

I also left work an hour early today (not like I was doing anything anyways, I had already went through everything on Bloglovin) because my son stayed after school for early release day and was now "bored" and wanted to start walking/riding his skateboard home. 13 miles. In the country. No way man, I listen to way too many murder crime solving podcast.  So I went and picked him up and we went to the grocery store and then to dinner at Panda Express. I came home to a clean counter and all the dishes being washed which was freaking fantastic. I so appreciate that my daughter did that.

Alright, I have a few things to pack up for shipping and then I think I'm going to go lay down. We had one girl sick at work today and one went home early so I'm hoping I'm just tired and not coming down with anything.

Just As Expected

Well just as I expected there wasn't all that much traffic or sales yesterday. It was also really hot.

Here's my set up, it's weird setting up without my canopy but a lot easier lol. The business I set up in front of is empty so it was ok I as blocking the door ;)

This guy takes pictures and then does things to them on the computer I think. Interesting but a bit expensive. He said that he pays a lot for the framing. I was telling him he should learn how to do it himself to save some money.

His brother is a painter, he has some cool pics but they all kind of look like him.

I sold a few things, 1 thing to the print guy, a bunch to my parents who came and bought me lunch and a few things to the cafe owner. Too funny. This place does have fantastic sandwiches though. I had never heard of it before and I'll definitely go back for the food. The owner had 2 cute little girls that worked in the shop too. Nice little family business.

I don't usually sweat a whole lot but man I was so sweaty by the time I was done yesterday. At one point I moved my car in front of my space and sat in there with the AC on and charged my phone.

After I was packed up I went over to my friend Dee's house. She lives right down the street so I went over and hung out. I ended up having dinner over there too. When I got home I pretty much went to bed and fell asleep immediately.

Today's plan is to wash some clothes and I think work on selling another box of fabric. So far all I've managed to do is eat the carbs Scott made us for breakfast and drink some coffee!

Always doing what I said I wouldn't

So I know I said I wasn't going to do any more crafts hows until it cooled down and closer to Christmas but I can't pass up a free opportunity haha. The gal that runs the Handcrafter's Boutique posted that this guy was looking for some more people for his little art show tomorrow in front of a coffee shop so I emailed him. I was like not sure if what I make would meet your qualifications but it goes with coffee lol. He said it's a free space and in the shade. I didn't have any other plans for tomorrow other than maybe sewing or going through more stuff to sell so I'm going to go. I went and met up with him after work so he could show me where they are setting up. Looks like it will be a nice chill (but probably too hot outside) environment. I think it's just going to be the artist guy, his brother, me and some other guy.

Currently I'm waiting to take Trevor to the high school football game and he might go to the dance after. All you have to do is add "girlfriend" to any event and he's game haha. His GF has super strict parents apparently so he has to take any time he can get. I hope he has fun.

Scott and I are going to go to sushi while he's there. I totally forgot to buy cat food on the way home so I need to make sure and do that while I'm in town or I'm going to have some really pissed off cats. They already weren't too happy with me. Usually I have a couple cans of tuna around that work in an emergency but there wasn't any of that this morning either. I gave them a little milk and they thought that was ok.

I am also looking online for where I got the little flower border I used for my price signs. It's saved on my dead computer but I got it online somewhere.. I wanted to update a few signs since my last show was slow so I marked some stuff down. Also I usually mark down my keyfobs when I don't have very many character ones and I made up a bunch of new ones since the last show.

Fun stuff.

Oh I almost forgot one more fun thing from today. We have a room in the back that we have all nick named "the cave" because it has no windows and only one door. It's really supposed to be a storage room I think but they put cubes and a lot of people in it. I used to sit back there for years and I was sick a lot when I did. Very poor air circulation. Anyhow, someone finally decided that it's not safe. DUH! I've been saying I think it's against fire code  & OSHA for years.  So today I had to help my boss order some new cubes. They are going to swap 2 rooms (if they can get the electrical worked out) so they are more in a hallway type room instead of a storage room. We'll see how it goes!

Well hope you all have a great weekend and hopefully I make few dollars tomorrow and don't die of heat stroke. It's supposed to be 99 tomorrow. Good thing that coffee shop sells smoothies.

What's bouncing around in my head today..

Trevor asked me to pick him up after school today. He said to go to the gym but I knew that was code for "hang out with the girlfriend." He asked me to pick him up at the store where my dad works. I drove up and texted him and called him but no answer so I went inside. It was quiet when I got there so I talked to my dad for a few minutes (Trevor finally answered that he was down at McDonald's waiting for his milk shake). While I was talking to my dad he told me that they are thinking of moving to Arkansas. It's cheaper to live there and my step mom's grandson lives there, which he confirmed was a reason to move there. I was like we'll I'd probably see you about the same amount of time, which he kind of chuckled and said yeah.

And here is where I get pissed off even though I try REALLY HARD not to let this bother me. My (bio) dad lives 12 miles away and has ZERO relationship with any of his blood grandchildren (all mine since I'm his only blood child), but he wants to move across the country to be with the golden grandchild.  I try to rationalize this with my kids had two other sets of grandparents who actually took the time to be in their lives, and my step brother's son has just them. Although maybe he has his mother's parents too, I have no idea. It just make me angry that we aren't worth the effort.

They come to some parties that I invite them to but we do not get invited over to their house and it's not the kind of atmosphere where we can just "drop by" like most parents are. I have not been in my dad's house in years and it's because I haven't been invited over.

We used to trade off doing Christmas at each other's houses but then I guess that was too much for them or something because that turned into we'll get together in January (that never happened) to a Facebook message of "Merry Christmas".

I keep trying to just not care but it's hard. I guess it will be easier if he moves away. No having a good time when we actually do get together, to make me wonder why he doesn't want me in his life the rest of the time. I'm pretty sure it's mostly that he just doesn't think to make any plans that include us. It is what it is I guess.

And that is why I originally texted the kid that I was there so I wouldn't have to go inside. I swear ever time I do I end up upset later.

It's so annoying to me that I let this get under my skin. It makes me ANGRY that I care.Pin It

I Need A Geek

I'm so over technology shit.  I'm so going to be that Grandma that's like "hunny can you just fix this for me??" Sadly I seem to be the one in the house that still figures all the computer and printer shit out.  Even if it takes me TWO DAYS to figure out how to install the wireless printer onto my wireless computer.  So frustrating. Then the stupid printer has a screen where it's trying to force you to enroll in their ink to your door program. Like hello? Amazon? I can get it just as quick and not have to be in a "subscription". I have enough monthly bills thank you. Finally just exited out of that and tried to print something and it worked.

Work is finally picking up a bit now that my boss is back from her 3 week vacation. So much better to have things to do than just sitting there bored to death.

I'm having thrift store withdrawals. I like to go on my lunch to chill out and a change of scenery but I have TOO MUCH STUFF and it is giving me anxiety so I need to stay out of the store. I usually do buy things to resell but I need to clear out more of what I have before I buy anything else. I don't have any plans this weekend (AGAIN SO EXCITING) so I will probably work on clearing out some more fabric. It's just hard to get rid of some things that I want to maybe make something out of. Usually I just give those a higher price so it's worth it if it sells. Games I play with myself haha.

It's just about time for bingo. Wednesday is about the only time I get to spend with Melissa since she's always at her boyfriends. She's been here the last couple days but she is all holed up in her room. One time I peaked in there and she was doing cross stitch. I think it's so cute that she is doing a hobby that I did at that age. Although I also was married and pregnant by that time. So weird to see how young I was through an older person's eyes if that makes sense. I'm like what the hell was I thinking! Probably that whole "he's so cute thing."

Is It Friday Yet?

Can I just say how much I hate having a period? I know they are great to still have since it keeps things young, but MY GOD can we just tone it down a bit. I was never one to complain about having cramps and such for the first 40 years of my life, so apparently we are making up for some time here. There is nothing more disturbing than getting up to help someone at the counter at work and feeling all the blood inside my body draining out at the exact moment that you say "Can I help you?"

Ahh hemm

Moving on, I have been working with this customer on and off for over a year to get his contract changed from a now defunct business name (on paper but not in his head) to his personal name (which is really a trust because we have to make it more confusing.) Today they finally came in to sign the paper work. PLEASE GOD LET IT GO THROUGH.  I hope I didn't forget to do anything. This guy sounds like a tyrant on the phone but when he comes in he's the cutest little old man. His wife is a bit gruffer but  I had them both laughing a little before they left. Then I had to chase after them because I remembered one more paper I forgot to have them sign. Whoops. They were cool though.

That was about my only excitement all day.  I came home to the usual pile of dirty dishes in the sink. I swear the animals are cooking and eating while I'm gone at work all day. Dirty little bastards. I totally forgot to take something out to cook for dinner so I have chicken thawing in the sink. Scott finally got the propane filled the other day so I'm going to make him BBQ it when he gets home.

I broke down and bought the new Quicken program for my new computer. Although now I'm only buying it for a year WTF everything is so GD more expensive these days.  At least it was on "Sale" for $59 for the home and business. We'll see how it works. Currently I'm importing my accounts which is pretty easy.

Ok now it's like an hour later and I'm still messing with this since it doesn't have the calendar set up exactly like my old Quicken. I think I might get it in a month or two..Pin It

I'm beat!

Well for having no plans all weekend I sure worked my butt off! I literally spent all weekend working on selling fabric & stuff. I got a lot of stuff sold and took it to the post office today but it doesn't even look like I made a dent. Can't quite figure that out..

I love that I can just drop my packages off at the counter and don't have to wait in line. Too bad I don't live in town where they can just come pick it up at my house. I do take some to get picked up with the mail at work sometimes but I don't like to do too many since the poor mail man would have to carry them.

I got an order on Friday for some trailer mug cozies, I had to sew 2 up (already had them cut out) but I was so busy all weekend I didn't get to them until tonight. Going throw in the trailer key fob since the lady liked my stuff so much :)

I need to pack up someone's order from the FB group where I sell my fabric stuff then I'm going to bed. I'm so tired. My hips and back are hurting, probably from sitting so much.

Oh I almost forgot I took Trevor to get a few more things for school yesterday. He's now like his dad where we just have to hunt for the larger sizes first, then see if they are something he likes. TG for the internet. Need to get that kid to shop for some clothes online.

Work was boring as shit again today. I miss the busy season. Also I wish Berkeley mom was retiring soon. Just the sound of her voice makes me want to go smack her lately.

Happy No Plans Weekend!

Ahh so excited to not have any plans this weekend. Although at some point someone needs to take Trevor to the store to get some school stuff and a few more shirts. Hoping to get someone else to do that.

Last night I had the weirdest thing happen. I was looking at my phone and it got all wavy like. At first I thought it was my contacts so I took them out but it was still doing it. I was also making dinner so when I got to a stopping point I went and laid down for a minute and it stopped. Always something I swear.

Then after dinner I had total indigestion which I'm sure was from eating hot cheetos on the way home from work lol. Look what happens when I eat the Pepto tablets now. So gross.

Last night I finished watching the new season of Shameless. Totally hated the whole Ian story line, but I know that stuff ready does exist. One of the kids that hangs out with us was sent to a camp to make him ungay (didn't work lol) People are just crazy.

After I finished that I started on Insatiable. It amazes me how people were all up in a roar about this show. So far it's pretty good.

So this weekend's goal is to get rid of the boxes of "stuff" in my living room. Which is fabric and notions that I have picked up here and there. It's hard to part with stuff I maybe want to keep but I have no where to put everything.

Happy Saturday!

New Computer Fun

Woohoo I'm up and running!

I got my new computer yesterday but only had a few minutes to play with it before it was time to leave for bingo.

My old computer loaded up a little bit but then I accidentally unplugged it and now it won't load again. Darn. Might see if someone wants to try and extract the pictures I had on their for me. Most of my pictures are on FB or my blog or both so I don't think I've lost anything too important.

I'm trying to decide if I want to get rid of the cabinet that the desktop computer is in. I'll have to find somewhere to put my printer and router though. Did think about maybe moving my sewing desk in it's spot. That would make more room in my bedroom but then I'd definitely have to sew in the living room so maybe not. I like to be able to close the door when Scott is annoying me when he's yelling at the TV. Yeah definitely not doing that.

Since my check register was on my dead computer I had to recreate something to keep track of my bills on. I had a really old version of Quicken on my computer. I'm just going to try a spreadsheet and a calendar since that's basically what it is. I just spent forever going through my bank to make sure I got all my automatic withdrawal things added.  Remember the days when we just wrote checks for everything and used a paper check register?

I was thinking yesterday about how we used to "float" a check at the grocery store before payday. I used to do that all the time. Then Wal Mart got some scanner thing that made your check go through faster so I quit doing that lol. I think Scott is one of the only people that still gets a paper paycheck. I finally got him to deposit it on his phone instead of having to ride his bike to the bank on his lunch. So much easier.

I've literally spent all day looking at spreadsheets today. I've been working on my little side business record keeping. I'm up to May! I need to find a few note books where I wrote down how much cash I made at my booth sales. I think I know where they are..

I've been driving Trevor to school all week for his 0 period class. We have to leave the house around 6:40. That seems so early. Today he said that he only has to do it MWF now. He was going to take the bus which used to show up around 7:10 most days. Today we got there at 7 and it was long gone so I had to drive him to school. DOH! I guess it's actually coming at like 6:50 now so I won't get to sleep any longer either way! At least if he takes the bus that's less miles on the car.

I've been attempting to not eat flour and sweets much. Yesterday I went to Bingo thinking I wouldn't have any drinks. One of my friends was there wanting to buy me drinks so that I will hem her dress. I gave in (to a couple) and she ordered FLOUR tortilla chips and set them next to me. I have no willpower SIGH.

I may have also ate 2 pieces of pizza when I got home from work today. Good thing tomorrow is a new day.

Back To School

Well today is the first day of school! I think it gets earlier in the summer every year. My plan was to get up when Scott left for work today, but then he left an hour early which messed up my plan in my head. I tried to go back to sleep but it smelled so bad outside (I had my windows open). I don't think I ever really fell back to sleep and got up at 5:20.

I drove this guy to school since he has a 0 period class and there is no bus for that. It was kind of nice having time in the car with him, although I'm sure after the first couple days we'll be dragging ass to get up in the morning lol. I'm so not a morning person!

We had a busy weekend. Saturday was Adrian's birthday party. Her birthday isn't until Sept 11 but her mom is having a baby on August 25th. We decided to skip the bowling part of the party and just go to the part back at the house. She is going to be 9 already.

Yesterday we went to the A's game. We took Bart, then tailgated with the neighbors in the parking lot. We sat in the inside seats by the window.

Only I could get sunburnt sitting INSIDE at a ball game lol. I think the sun was only on me for maybe an hour. I was a little cold so it felt good. Little did I know it was burning me.

The game was a pretty quick one since the other team didn't get any runs. Trevor went with us to the game and thought it was pretty sweet sitting inside the fancy club room, I did too!

There is this neighborhood girl that people call "Drunk Debbie" (change her name, but you get the picture). She came in when the game was about 1/2 way through or so. She is such a loud mouth. Total low class. I guess she made some comments to Scott about his legs. He is NOT impressed with her lol. It just amazes me that people can be so rude and think they know what they are talking about when they comment on other people's medical problems. Like no one is telling you to get your brain fixed you idiot.

I was glad to leave right after the game was over. They were doing some kind of after party in the parking lot. It amazes me sometimes how much people can drink and still function and definitely should NOT be driving anywhere. That is why we take the train. We only had a little bit to drink when we were tailgating and that was enough. All these people are going to need new livers soon.

So trying to get back on the healthier eating wagon. I'm going to do no flour or sweets for the rest of the month to start. That will help me get away from my sugar addiction hopefully. Seemed to work last time. I felt so fat yesterday. I've got that huge roll on top of my pants back, it's lovely.

Just ordered a new computer (laptop) so hopefully that will come in the next couple days. I keep hoping I can get my Quicken to load my calendar with my bills on it but it doesn't look that that's going to happen. Guess I'll have to just figure that out again. Good thing I had paid everything early last week.

Have a good day everyone!

Dead

Well I think my computer has finally bit the dust. Looks like I’ll have to go buy a laptop or something. I do kind of like having a desk top though since it’s less likely for the kid to kill it.

This is where I always feel old. I don’t know what all that crap is in the computer I just want to turn t on and have all my stuff there.

Using my phone to post and it’s tiny so just an update of one more thing to spend money on lolPin It

iCloud Educated

Woohoo I finally figured out how to delete pictures off my iCloud. Thanks Google. Now my phone can finally stop screaming at me that it hasn't backed up my pictures. I take a lot of pictures of misc things and things to sell so I definitely don't need to pay for storage on a bunch of stupid pictures.

Today's work excitement was that I actually got to go out in the field. I haven't done that in ages. When I first started my job I used to spend all day driving around looking for orchard chippings. Today a gal at worked asked me if I could help her out and do 2 drive bys.

Yep, that's corn

Yep, corn there too.

She said something about having me do a few tomorrow. Let's hope there is enough to last all day lol. So funny just went back and looked for blog posts of the olden days at work. Found lots of funny posts. Might have to do a Peggy and share some of them again. I used to really just type out whatever I was thinking back when I first started blogging with no filter. Those were the days when the internet was newer and not as many people could find your stuff lol.

Pictureless Day

I didn't take any pictures today, how strange! Remember when you had to actually use a camera to take pictures and then wait forever to get the pictures. Maybe that's what's wrong with society today, we have no patience ;)

I spent most of the day today uploading pictures from my phone to Facebook. Apparently that's really annoying to all your facebook friends. Whoops. So now all my albums are just for me to see until I get done playing around with them.

I'm so tired of seeing the "icloud is full" message so and I'm sure my computer is going to die at some point so taking advantage of FB's free storage while it lasts. I deleted all but about 20 pictures and my icloud is still full so I'm assuming that has to update somehow. So now I'm updating my IOS which probably means that something will kill my phone. I try to wait as long as possible to do the updates. Last time I tried it failed because my "icloud was full" lol so we'll see what happens now. I really don't want to pay ANYTHING more a month for my phone since I already have a car payment size bill.

Work was so dead today I had like 2 things to do. Save one for tomorrow lol. The girl who sits next to me was having stomach issues and stayed all day. I kept hoping she'd just leave because that's the worst thing to have happen at work. She has some stomach issue history but she drinks a couple gallons of caffeine every day and takes a bunch of pills all the time so it's not like she's trying to keep it away.

After work I ran to the little mexican grocery store down the street from work and got something to take to Bingo since it was potluck night. I didn't win anything all night. Some days you win, some days you lose I guess.

Oh here's a fun picture I saw going around today. It has something about a Proposition 10 that I need to look at still. I just looked up a 1 bedroom apt in Tracy and the lowest one I found was $1350 for an apartment building that my sister in law rented for $500 a month 18 years ago. So yeah that was awhile but that also means they are OLD. My kids are going to live here forever, who can afford to move out?
