A Shopping we will go..
Today I finally got around to going through all my coupons. I've been saving them up for months. My neighbor gives me hers, my mil gives me hers, and sometime I get them from my mom too. So I had A LOT of coupons to go through. Add to that the ones I had organized from the last 6 months or so that had SOME good ones left. It took me a few hours but I got it done (I just filed them away by dates in a little file box, didn't actually cut them all out). Then I went to Coupon Mom and printed out the good deals. Matched up my coupons and went to the store.
I started off at Target. I had printed off the coupons from their site. I went around the store and got my stuff, went up to the register, the girl rang me up. Then she tells me that they don't take internet coupons. Not even from their OWN website. How fucking stupid is that?? The manager came over and confirmed it. So I got my coupons back and walked out with nothing. Stupid.
Then I went to Walgreens and got most of the things I wanted. A few things were out of stock but I didn't feel like getting a rain check. The candy I bought didn't ring up right but eventually the girl figured it out. (I think that was a sign from God that I shouldn't have been buying candy, what do you think?)
Next was Safeway. I haven't been shopping at Safeway much. It used to be Pak N Save with all of Safeways sales. But you put your own groceries in your bag and their everyday prices were similar to Food 4 Less. Yeah, not so much anymore. Although I did get most of the meats that were on sale. I tried not to buy much that wasn't on my sale & coupon list.
After that I hopped over to Costco to get water and bread. You just can't beat their prices for bread there.
Then I came home and made Scott help me unload it all and then made him cook dinner. I'm so nice!!
It feels like we have a ton of food now. I am looking forward to building my stockpile back up. I used to be HUGE into doing my coupons but then I guess I just got too busy and didn't have time for it and slacked off. If you stay steady and do it each week you can save huge amounts of money on your grocery bills. I got started by doing the The Grocery Game and reading a lot on Teri's Message Board. I use the Coupon Mom site now because it is free and it's basically the same information.
My goal this week is to get all my coupons in my coupon binder. It's much easier to shop that way for me. First I have to steal all my pages back from Trevor's Pokemon binder though!Pin It

Saving money is the best feeling ever!
I LOOOVE to save money! I've never been one to use a coupons (I guess because I've grown impatient with having to lug around a husband and kids).
I'm going to check out the site you mentioned to see what kind of deals I can get.
See, I knew there was a reason I don't shop at Target!
I never use coupons....maybe i should try it. And that is probably why i never knew that about Target, I am in there at least 2 times a week!
Years ago you could get coupons out of the papers here too... not anymore. I never clipped them though, I am too lazy!
