Mom's Day Out

Yesterday was a fun day! I started off the day by going to breakfast at IHOP. I met up with my two friends for breakfast and then we went to the mall and did some Christmas shopping.

I got a bunch of little presents bought. I think that's mostly what everyone is getting this year. Little stuff! They have the big stuff already and I'm not buying my kid a laptop before I get one! Not that I could afford that anyways.

After shopping I came home and read The Shack until my eyes were glazing over. The middle of that book is really difficult. I fell asleep for a little bit.

THEN I went all by myself for the first time down to the clubhouse to play Bingo. I was nervous about going by myself but the woman that is running the special Saturday Bingo Nights once a month is in my bookclub and I wanted to support her. And it really sounded fun! So I got there and they have these cool little bingo board things. It was $1 per board for 10 games so I got 2 thinking it was $1 per board PER GAME but it wasn't so I could have played more boards. So I had my 2 little boards and sat next to two other ladies that go to bookclub with me. My neighbor and her husband were there although at another table, and a Mom I know from the kid's school was there also so I knew quite a few people there so that felt good.

So did you know Bingo isn't just one line? They played 10 games and none of them were just plain one line Bingo. I won the game that was a 9 block square (anywhere on the board). I was so excited. I won $13!! The black out game they came around and got .50 more per card. The person that won the black out game won $70! I was 3 away from having them all so it was fun. I think I'll have to miss the next monthly once since it's the weekend of my Scrapbook Retreat. Maybe I'll try to go to some of the Wednesday night ones. They don't pay as well but it will still be fun to get out of the house for a bit.Pin It

Hi Julie! I just saw your comment about Bunco. We just decided to start a group on day about two years ago. We bought dice (they sell a whole Bunco kit at Target or Wal-mart I think) and a bell and looked up rules online and the group was born. It is so much fun! You will LOVE it!!
